South Trees is a coastal industrial suburb in Gladstone, Queensland. It is primarily known for housing the Queensland Alumina Limited refinery, one of Australia's largest alumina refineries. The suburb is situated along the South Trees Inlet and includes several non-contiguous areas of land and islands. South Trees had no recorded population as of the 2021 census. The area is dedicated to industrial use, with facilities like the Gladstone Kart Club and the South Trees Sewage Treatment Plant.
